Jo-Anne, Environmental Science

I’m Jo and whilst studying for my A-levels in Biology, Psychology and Mathematics, I was given the option to come to university. After falling in love with the campus on my open day, I joined Bath Spa as a joint Biology and Psychology student. However, I was soon inspired by the contemporary issues my fellow Environmental Science students were learning about. Feeling that this would be more suited to me and my future career plans, I entered my second year as an Environmental Scientist. Now I’m in my third year and I am specialising in environmental management with an emphasis on aquatic ecosystems.

I have also been able to follow my interests further by undertaking a dissertation into the distribution of phosphates in sediment and water downstream from a sewage treatment works.
