Biology
Field trips
Field trips and field work in general are an important part of Biology at Bath Spa. You gain a great deal in terms of skills and experience. It's also a great way to get to know other students too.

In the second year, Biology students have a residential field trip to The Burren, Ireland. This trip forms part of their training in Research Skills and the purpose of the trip is for groups of students to carry out research projects.

In the third year, as more specialist topics are addressed, there are residential field trips to Pembrokeshire for two optional modues. Field Biology is based at Orielton Field Centre in late September. The Marine Biology module is based at Dale Fort Field Centre in the Spring term.
