Alison Wadeley, Senior Lecturer: Psychology
I teach
in the Department of Psychology specialising in Psychological Research Methods
and Statistics and Applied Psychology.
I write revision guides, articles and text-books for AS, A level and
undergraduate psychology students. I am pleased to be a member of the editorial
team for Psychology Review (a journal for A/AS Psychology students) to which I
am also a regular contributor.
My post-graduate research was in the field of health psychology and I am
currently engaged in research into the impact of naturally occurring sleep
fragmentation on cognitive functioning in people with Parkinson's disease and
their carers and families. I am hoping to be able to extend this into research
into the effects of sleep fragmentation on parents of babies and young
children.
I've shared an office with Mike Cardwell for over 30 years which must be some
kind of claim to fame.
