David Joseph, Senior Lecturer: Business and Management
I have worked for Bath Spa University for almost two decades and teach on the Marketing, Business Strategy and New Trends in Management modules. Prior to joining the University I had a career in the voluntary sector and local government working in the fields of strategy and performance review.
My scholarly activities have focused on the causes of accidents and system failures, non-hierarchical organisational structures and the social and ethical consequences of marketing. I have taken an active interest in innovative approaches to teaching and in the past I have employed a problem-based learning approach in the delivery of some of my modules. My future scholarly activities will concentrate on developing teaching resources for the New Trends in Management module and implementing the plan to employ wikis in its delivery.
