After holding senior training and development management positions at the British Airports Authority and Sun Life Assurance, I spent ten years running a successful management consultancy business before joining Bath Spa in September 2006. 

I’m a keen writer, and have written more than 20 books on a range of topics including business strategy, e-business, career management, and organisational behaviour. I’ve also contributed articles to a number of publications, including Business Voice, The Observer, and even Cosmopolitan!

I hold an MSc in Management Development and Training from the University of Bristol, where I’ve been an Associate Lecturer since 1994.  I also teach IT Management on Manchester Business School’s International MBA Programme.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve given career guidance and support to over 3,000 people, from senior directors to front line staff.  I have particular expertise in business start-up, self-employment and work-life balance issues.
